The CD-Rom Compendium of practical tools, published in addition to the Handbook of Continuing Medical Education, is meant to be first and foremost a practical tool whose purpose is to support CME providers in organizing quality educational activities. It contains numerous descriptive cards on needs identificatin techniques, the organization of group learning activities, a code of ethics, the allocation of credits and the evaluation of activities. It also includes several checklists and reminders as well as many model letters.

We felt, however, that you may want to use some of these documents more personally by adapting them to your specific needs. The Conseil is far from claiming the CD-Rom contains every tool providers may need for their work. We are convinced, however, that the CD-Rom, in its present form, contains pertinent tools you will find useful.
