Quality Criteria for a CPD Activity

The object of the Conseil québécois de développement professionnel continu des médecins is to encourage and promote Québec physicians' continuous professional development. Its mandate is as follows:

with organizations interested in CPD,

to encourage exchanges and the development of consensus in the aim of harmonizing Québec physicians' continuous professional development;

with CPD organizers,

to set up various training activities for instructors and continuous professional development organizers, notably the faculties of medicine, professional associations and healthcare organizations, and support them in their work;

with participants,

to inform Québec physicians, notably, of the activities set up by the Conseil’s member organizations and the policies and consensus they have developed;

in research,

to encourage and promote research in continuous professional development by:

ensuring leadership in research, notably by facilitating networking among those interested;
encouraging a transfer of research skills and knowledge into practice.
